Perry Benjamin at the hospital. March 25, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — mcbrideut @ 9:31 pm

After much anticipation, Perry has arrived.  He was 9.1 lbs and 21 inches long, yeah, big boy.  Emily went to the hospital on Sunday night to be induced because she was five days past her due date.  After waiting for progression throughout the night by 2pm on Monday, some progress was made, but not enough, so the Doctor decided to preform a c-section.  I have heard it said; that when you hold your child for the first time is amazing and the same held true for Emily and I.  A friend pointed out to me, after the fact, how unconditional love for this new child pours over you.  Perry has plenty of unconditional love from all his family.  What a fantastic picture of the Gospel and the same unconditional love God had for his children.  We pray that one day God will reveal his Son, to my son, and Perry will join the Kingdom of God.

Romans 5:8, “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

How precious!! Em he is so handsome! Jacob watched the video with me and thought it was so funny when Perry Benjamin let out his little cry. He said, “he doesn’t cry very loud.” I can’t wait to see you all. Tell Ryan hello for me and give little man a kiss from his Aunt Carol.
    Love you!
